Hi Everyone,
Great start to the new season of the Forest League as hosted by Longhope last night.
Les got us under way with the toss of a coin to decide which mat the host team played on. It came down heads so Longhope started on the heads mat.
This one was a hard fought encounter, with the Buzzards running out the winners 7-4.
On the other mat the Wombles took so time to get wombling and were well beaten by the rampaging Squirrels.
For the second round Les was at it again, getting that coin to come down heads, so the Badgers continued on the same mat, this time taming the Squirrels 8-5.
On the tails mat the Wombles finally got moving, tidying up the Buzzards 11-2.
After a short break Les completed a hat-trick of heads tosses to stay on the same mat all night, however Badgers lost out on the last end to the Wombles 6-7.
The Squirrels and Buzzards went down to the last end with the Squirrels taking the spoils 8-6.
