1. League Structure
- The league is made up of 11 teams (Season 2025):
- 2 each from Forest of Dean, Woolaston, Westbury, Yorkley & Huntley and one from Longhope
2. Teams
- Teams will consist of 4 players
- Players may move between teams of the same club, provided they do not exceed the maximum of 24 games per season
3. Matches
- Format
- Matches will be 7 ends
- No trial ends
- No 3s up
- Schedule
- Matches will be played monthly, October – April
- 16 match nights in total
- Each team plays in 8 match nights (one per month)
- Matches played mid-week, starting at 7pm
- Aim: finish within 2½ hours
- Short break may be taken after the second game, but ideally play is continuous with drinks available
- Structure of match nights
- At each match night, clubs will play each other once → 3 matches of 7 ends
- Match layout:
- Mat 1: A v B | Mat 2: C v D
- Mat 1: D v A | Mat 2: B v C
- Mat 1: B v D | Mat 2: A v C
- Each team will be allocated a letter (A, B, C, D) each night
- Over the season, each team will be designated as A, B, C, D twice
4. Venues & Hosting
- Each Team will host 2 Fixtures
5. Scoring & Results
- Points system:
- Win = 2 points
- Draw = 1 point
6. Player Restrictions
- No bowler may play in more than 24 games
- Teams can be changed during the evening as required
7. Rules of Play
- Jack off the mat → 2 shots away, end not replayed (Including Last End)
- Exception: last end → opposing team may choose to take the 2 shots or replay the end
8. Match Fees
- £16 per team per match (£4 per player for Season 2025)
- All money goes to the host club
- Team captains are responsible for:
- Collecting their team’s fees
- Passing them to the evening’s match organiser
