Good evening Forest Leaguers,
The season gets underway with two fixtures in the coming weeks. Monday at FOD, and Longhope on Thursday.
Please note Thursday’s game at Longhope will be a 7.15pm start as we’re not able to access the hall until 7pm.
I was hoping to be at FOD on Monday, unfortunately I have to attend the GSMBA meeting.
Can I remind you all there is only one rule change from last season:
If the jack is taken off the mat in the first six ends of a game there’s no penalty, it’s scored as a dead end and you move on to the next end. If the jack is taken off in the last end, three shots will be awarded to the non-offending team. There is no option to replay the end.
Please remember that, in the Forest League, the home team skip tosses a coin to decide which mat their team will play on before each of the three games, the mats being marked Heads and Tails. Can skips please toss the coin in full view of everyone, as it’s all part of the fun.
