Our roving Forest reporter, shortly to become our overseas correspondent, reports another great evening of enjoyable competitive bowling.
In the first round of matches, the Foxes were at their rampaging best, savaging the Squirrels 15 – 1. On the other mat, the Wombles tidied up the Buzzards 10 – 6.
In the next round the Squirrels came storming back with a emphatic win overwhelming the poor Wombles 11 – 1. In the other encounter, the Foxes were at it again, this time making a meal of the Buzzards 10 – 6.
In the final round the Foxes' run of success ran out of steam as they were Wombled 9 – 4. Bringing proceedings to a close, the Squirrels and Buzzards went head to head in a very close affair, with the Squirrels carrying the day 8 – 6.
