In a bumper week of bowling in the FL, the Squirrels and Stags were unbeaten through the week, so well done to them. The rest of the results were pretty evenly shared with one or two strange scores.
A couple of rule queries came up this week.
Firstly, jack off the mat: there is no penalty, you just turn the end over and play on. If it happens in the last end, it’s 3 shots to the non-offending team. There is no option to replay the end.
Second, there are no restrictions on skips visiting the head. This is inline with GSMBA and SMPT competitions. Restrictions were tried in the past, but the game was slowed down by the lengthy debates that went on.
After the Christmas and New Year break, I will be giving you the details of the end of season playoffs. As we now have a 10 team League there will be some changes in the format, with some exciting new ideas and innovations. Watch this space.
All that remains now is for me to wish you all a very Happy Christmas and thank everyone for your help and support.
Regards,
Mike E
