The torrential rain of the last 48 hours has turned Frowens into our island residence. The babbling brook is now a raging torrent and we have the mighty River Severn’s glowering presence, ready to unleash its tidal fury on the innocent inhabitants of Westbury!
So it is with some trepidation and lifeboat at the ready that I take up my quill to pen this league round up.
I’m told it was a very enjoyable evening with some interesting matches. The games seem to split into three categories. Two very close ones with the teams separated by a single shot. One encounter at 5 shots to 3 and three runaway wins. It’s a funny old game and all adds to the excitement.
The league now is wide open with lots of teams in striking distance of a playoff spot.
