A cracking night’s bowling with some very close games, many being decided by the last bowl of the match. Great to see some new faces, one or two playing their first game away from home and one player their first competitive game ever. Big thank you to everyone who came along to support their teams.
The Forest League is there for us all to enjoy, not something to be endured in respectful silence. So don’t be afraid to have a laugh and a joke, applaud the players and let’s have some atmosphere. The Short Mat Players Tour features all the best players in the world and is played with a constant buzz of noise and people moving around. If they can do it, so can we!
If we want to attract new people into the sport, our bowls halls have to be a welcoming, happy place.
